Woodland Plan: A millennium project to create a wood on the doorstep of every house in Reading has already begun. Woodlands for the millennium aims to be the tree planting scheme fo the decade and is run by the Woodland Trust and Homebase. More than £2m will be spent plating over 200,000 trees all over Britain, creating 20 new woodlands within walking distance of every house in Britain.
